Academic Path

and Achievements

HELLO!

I began my academic journey at Rayer Bazar High School in Dhaka, where I completed my Secondary School Certificate (SSC) in 2013 with a focus on science.

My growing interest in social issues led me to pursue my Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Birsrestha Noor Mohammad Public College in 2015, majoring in humanities.

I went on to earn my Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) (Honours) in Media Studies and Journalism from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), with a major in Film and Television Production, graduating cum laude in December 2020.

In July 2023, I was awarded the SAF-Madanjeet Singh Scholarship to study Postgraduate Diploma in Integrated Multimedia Journalism at the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai, India, where I specialized in audio and visual journalism.

I completed my Master of Social Science (MSS) from Stamford University Bangladesh in June 2025, further strengthening my understanding of media and its power to shape public awareness and accountability.

MSS in Journalism and Mass Communication

In June 2024, I began studying Journalism and Mass Communication at Stamford University Bangladesh and completed the program in July 2025, earning a Master of Social Science (MSS) degree.

The university waived my preliminary year, allowing me to complete the two-year program in just one year.

During my time at Stamford, I focused on deepening my understanding of the relationship between media, culture, and society.

Key courses included Media Research and Cultural Analysis, Health and Population Communication, Television: Context and Content, Development Journalism, and Political Communication.

These courses sharpened my analytical lens and reinforced my commitment to producing research-driven and impactful journalism.

I specialised in Audio and Visual Journalism, focusing on how sound, imagery, and narrative combine to tell compelling stories.

BSS (Hons) in Media Studies and Journalism

I earned my BSS (Hons) in Media Studies and Journalism from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), graduating cum laude in December 2020.

My major focused on Film and Television Production, with coursework highlighting Cinema Studies, Post Production, Mass Communication, Critical Thinking, and Logic. Alongside my major,

I pursued a minor in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), where I explored Structured Programming, Database Systems, and Digital Image Processing, more as a personal interest than a professional pursuit.

During my time at ULAB, I actively engaged in several campus initiatives.

I participated in The ULABian, a campus news apprenticeship program, serving as Editor for two terms, and contributed to the Dhaka International Mobile Film Festival in 2020 as Media Manager.

I also supported student development as a Peer Tutor and Peer Mentor in the Student Affairs Office.

In addition to academics and extracurriculars, I was received the Duke of Edinburgh Award (Bronze Standard).
